I worked alongside Michèle for about 18 years as part of the administrative support staff of the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP)…Our work included following a rigorous competitive selection process to identify and then set up contracts with vendors and independent contractors and ensure that they were paid on time…appreciated our help with travel arrangements to destinations in Africa, Asia and Central and South America, from obtaining visas to plane and hotel reservations to travel expense reporting. In 2014, Michèle coordinated the selection of preferred vendors for French, Spanish and Portuguese translation – an enormous task involving three-member evaluation teams for each language. Michèle herself is bilingual in English and French. Whenever I composed an important email in French, I always asked her to review it, not just for grammatical correctness but also to ensure that the style and tone were appropriate for business correspondence.
